Default Hello

Hello everyone,

My name is Tony and I'm a retired ASE and US Army mechanic who now lives in Canada.
This is my second hello post and I'm waiting for the first one to be posted.

Keep those projects moving forward. I hope you enjoy the ride once I can post my latest project.

Sincerely, Tony

For your convenience; here is a link, on this forum, to this Project.

I have a G3500 Cutaway that I purchased in 2018 for my Toy Hauler Project and I have done a lot thus far.
I'll post pictures, details and my future plans once I can start a thread in the
Express & G-Series Vans area.
NOTE: It has a 6.5 turbo diesel and it only had 19,100 original miles when I got it.

Purchased this G3500 Cutaway in 2018.. This is how it looked when I got it with only 19,100 original miles.

You tell me... I've already saved these and brought them home...
Some of them we are keeping and the others, I offer to anyone who would want one restored or custom built.
Some day I hope I can find someone who wants an LS custom one-off build. As for me - I want to build one with an LV3.
Being a retired ASE and US Army mechanic; I was blessed to get 2 of them road worthy in less than a year of becoming stewards of them both.

Looks like you've got a lot of work ahead of you. Who makes the Ultravan?

Back in the day, the sixties, they were made by Ultra Inc.

BTW - I was blessed to get 2 of them both road worthy in than a year of becoming stewards of them.
They might still need restoration. But at least they are back on the road, after sitting for decades.
Oh and that was our little Corvair truck next to the Ultravan.

They kind of have that Airstream look. What kind of chassis did they start out on?

They don't have one. There is no frame or chassis. Between the back of the front wheels to the front of the rear wheels are only tanks.
If you like to learn more, look up Ultravan History and a link will pop up; providing more information and the history of the Ultravan.
