Default 283 7500 RPM Build Help/Ideas

Good Afternoon, I am curious if anyone on this site has built a 283 SBC to handle 7500 rpms somewhat reliably, 7500 would act as an absolute maximum to not be crossed. I've been around other forums, only to receive the typical "oh my buddy's got one of those, he shifts at 9000" with no further elaboration. So if anyone has proven firsthand insight on stuff like cam specs, lifter type, valvetrain, piston specs, rings, head gaskets, heads, weak points, strong points, etc. I am not going for maximum horsepower or torque, I want an engine I can drive on the street and the strip. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
