Big first post!
Well hi everyone, name is Matt. Usually a Ford guy...but I done did it and bought myself a Chevy!
1977 C10, rockin the 350 and 350turbo and a 3 color paint job, haha. For $300 though, cant complain one bit.
It needs some TLC, and I'll be posting (hopefully) in the correct forum about it. Has a hardtime getting into Reverse, have to fiddle with the shifter on the column to get it to work, all other gears work fine.
Anyway enough rambling. Hope to see you guys around!

Welcome to the forum! Post it down in the "Silverado & Fullsize Pickups" section.
The truck is definately not in bad shape, thats for sure.
I just got back from looking at my pa's old 58 Apache Fleetside 32, and yours is in 10 times as good of shape as that thing. I gotta get the chainsaw so I can move it 0_o

Do I even wanna know why you need the chainsaw?
Posted up in the Fullsize section, hopefully someone has a good idea. Comes down to it guess I'll just replace the whole column.
And, better quality pics! Thats my Ranger in the background off to the left. Its going to be a track machine, and the C10 is going to take over workhorse duties.

^^ The only bit of body damage on the whole truck, everything else just needs painted.

The chainsaw is to move the 50ft pine trees that grew up around it since it was parked there in 1974...
The damage you have can be easily fixed. You can order the individual fender panels. All you have to do is cut off the originals and tack the new ones one. Then do the rest of the bodywork.

Hope the meter didn't run out on that parking space, haha 0.o
Yeah I might consider ordering new fender panels... but I've never welded anything in my life nor do I own a welder. Got a hammer and dolly set that I can use to hopefully get the top portion out. Probably just leave that back portion alone, bought it for function and not so much for looks.
Oh yeah, I feel like a real idiot for having to ask this.... but where in the heck is the hood release? LOL
I know the hood comes up because the PO (previous owner) had it up for me when I came to pick it up. But I just assumed that the release was on the bottom of the dash or on the kick panel. Apparnetly its not, or I totally missed something, haha.

Hahah... That parking space is in a place where Snakesville and Briar City meet in the woods of
Pine Level, NC.
Trucks that old generally don't have an in-cab hood release. Most cars didn't at that time either.
Look for a lever under the front bumper.
