Hello all, just joined this community today. I would like to finish out this project with y’all.
This 1978 K5 Blazer started out in southern Missouri. A combat veteran, tore her down to the frame. He spent over 2 years with his own hands replacing sheet metal, mechanical parts and everything else on this beauty.
Over 95% of this project has either been replaced or restored by him.
After being on the hunt for 3 years for the right Blazer,
2 weeks ago I came across her. I drove her home from Missouri to Oklahoma, overall about 6 hours.
It was such an enjoyable ride. The Brand New 400sbc purred all the way home.
im bringing this project to completion and just wanted to share with enthusiasts and novices like me.
I had the top made to look like sheet metal and painted. Also put new Pro Comp 3 15x10 wheels.
she definitely is going to need new tires and maybe a 2” lift, I hope not, but definitely new tires.
the factory replica trim will be going on next week.
she just has few minor things left, can’t wait to see her completely finished.
