Hi There! I'm a newbie here so please be patient and gentle......it's my first time. I have a 1992 Chevy K1500 stepside pickup.....bought it new and have kept up with all maintenance......mechanical and body. All in all she's in pretty good shape.....okay...so here's where we get in to the trouble.....the frame is broke. I've located a 1995 Chevy K1500 stepside pickup that was in a rollover but the frame is solid. I want to swap out my 1992 cab on the 1995. Anybody out there know if this will work. I don't want to buy the '95 and start the project only to discover it just isn't going to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

You should call a Chevy Parts department and make sure the numbers match to be certain. In theory it seems like it should work but its always nice to have the assurance...

 

Hi and thanks for responding. I'm afraid I posted in the wrong forum. :-( Still trying to figure this out. Hate to sound completely ignornant (I know I'm more than a bit ignornant about what I'm hoping to accomplish with these trucks) but exactly what numbers are we talking about....the years?
