Default Chimes not working

Hi I just got a used Chevy Silverado 1500 and the chimes don’t work. When I turn the ignition over there isn’t a seatbelt reminder chime and when the door is open with the vehicle in gear it reads on the screen “door open” but there isn’t a chime. If you know what could be wrong please tell me. Thank you.

Post what it is when fixed, so I can reverse that.

What year is the vehicle? I've had similar issues. Older trucks had a dedicated component that controlled the chimes with its own mini pc board and connectors located under the dash on the drivers side. A rectangular black plastic box with connectors. Not uncommon for drivers to rip them out by the roots to silence the annoying chimes! A Haynes manual for you vehicle would be a great investment-wiring harness diagrams etc...

try this link

Looks like the chime feature is actually connected to the radio/head unit. Are you still getting sound from it?

Well, that's about all I could think of to check out! Sorry it wasn't helpful. I'm sure there are much smarter people on this forum that will be more helpful.
