Default First-Time Building an Engine - Purple '86 Z28

Hey Chevy folks!

I'm an avid gearhead and worked as a mechanic for a few years. I've since switched industries, but I still do a lot of wrenching in my free time. I've decided to take on my first full engine build for this wicked Z28. Worked with a machine shop to get started on a 350 build with Vortec heads. I'm hoping to use some of the knowledge and wisdom of this group to get through this project (and whatever Chevy's come next)!
