That is a nice looking truck! From the pictures, it looks really good for being over thirty years old!!
I cannot comment extensively on your 4WD project, but I can tell you that it will take quite a bit of modification. Of course, it will be much easier to do on an older truck then a newer one, especially with the lack of all the "fancy" sensors and computers found in cars today. That being said, if you have your heart set on it, I would go for it! Good Luck!!
