Default hey

I live in New Hampshire, and my project is a 1988 T-top Monte Carlo SS

the plan is to build it with a 400 block, not 100% sure what i want to use for a transmission, but i definitely want to replace the stock 3-speed automatic.

any pointers will be appreciated (i will be making a thread in the monte carlo section) this is my first car build, all my experience has been with trucks.

thanks...... one of my friends is building a 77 El Camino, and we both started the projects around the same time, and it is turning into a bit of a rivalry, to see who can finish first, and whose will be faster

i really love trucks, im not sure why i decided to build a car. but i also have a 96 3500 silverado, dual wheels, 454, crane roller/rocker cam, hypertech reprogrammer, custom bent, stainless steel, dual 2 3/4" flowmaster exaust, when the bottom end lets go, the plan is to bore it out to a 495........

also have a mostly stock 95 1500 regular cab, with a stock 5.0L, the plan is to go really crazy on that once the motor lets go, but its a daily driver for now, since it just runs so damn good, even with 140,000 miles it dosnt use a drop of oil

Looks like a good project to me. I have always been a fan of the SS Monte Carlos.
Hope you like the site
