Hi folks, its my first day...
Its my first time trying to actually be active in one of theses forums. I have bought a truck that I thought would be a good project, but has turned out to be a money pit. Oh, well. I will be all over the web looking for tech tips on every area of the truck. So armed with my Haynes manual and Craftsman tool set we'll see what I create.
It is a 1990 Chevy K-2500 Scottsdale with a 5.7l and a manual transmission. I have been putting things back together and replacing stuff since I got it. The latest thing is the clutch, which is where I am having a problem. I replaced the clutch and now the transmission won't shift. I mean the clutch is operating, but the shifter is stuck in 1st gear. I didn't make sure it was in neutral when I re-installed the transmission, is this the problem? It wont shift running or off, clutch depressed or engaged. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.
