Howdy Folks!
Hello All,
So after 35 years of my life and that ever pending want of a Chevy Silverado my dream has finally come to fruition! I did own a 96' Blazer for a spell but it wasn't what I really wanted. Since birth I can only imagine that I have been a Chevy man at heart. Any I currently live in Bastrop Texas. A little growing town just east of Austin with my Wife and 5 year old son.
This past Sunday was the day. I picked up a 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Texas Edition (of course right)! It is only 2 wheel drive but for the time being and with what I wanted that is how it has to be for now anyway, wink wink! So without further ado here is "Mater" who I let my Son name of course.

The specs are pretty standard for the Texas Edition, 5.3L V8, 6 speed auto. "Most" of the bells and whistles. Not leather nor a DVD setup, etc. 20" Chrome wheels. I had the 6" oval assist steps added along with the spray in bed liner. I will be getting an aluminum tool box to go in the back this weekend ish now that the bed liner is in. Future mods are a lift kit to give a little extra umph, grill guard (still deciding on how to go because I don't want to obscure the grill I have), an exhaust upgrade, etc etc! I am also taking any suggestions from you old vets out there!
Thanks!
Brad

Good looking pick-up and welcome aboard. A lift kit will be counter productive in the world of umph, causing your engine to work harder, making it less aerodynamic, and significantly decreasing MPG. Are you willing to sacrifice all this just for looks? Plus its 2-wheel drive, not exactly the idea truck for lifting. Hope that doesn't sound to harsh, certainly not my intent.
