Howya doing Greetings from Ireland
Greetings from Ireland, My name is Robert Daly, and I just did some thing very foolish or something very Clever but been Irish I wont know untill this time next year when I will be either laughing my head off, Or I will be crying streams of tears. But I took the risk and decided to rescue an old lady who was in some distress. The lady in question is an 1981/2 RV made by TEC (travel equipment corporation) who went belly up in 1989. One of her aliases is The Travel Cruiser, she is also known as an G30 sports van Chassis but she is known to us as ole Biddy.
At her heart is a 350 small block which has got her over 77,000 miles of cruising around Europe. It is still beating strong but needs a tune up. her heart is not ticking over as well as should because!!! I just checked the spark plugs and i would reckon that the have to be at least 10 years old(mind you who ever had it in england did change her to electronic ignition and I would say thats when the sparkplugs where done last) any hows its of little surprise when you see how Deeply buried they are. Looks like I might have to Jack Up the old girls undercarriage to even get any where near to getting them out (one of you guys must have a tip for me).
She is also a little bit slow off the starting line! will have to change the necessary fluids in the torque converter and auto transmission Little surprise there realy when you consider that they have been sitting in there for 30 years. her water works are fine as is her lube. No sign of her Head/s giving trouble. her chassis needs cleaning up and painting before the dreaded rust mites get at her but all in all she can be saved and has many many more years pleasant Cruising ahead of her.
So I hope you guys can help me to laugh my head off by this time next Year, and that we dont have the banks of the Bandon river over flowing because of my tears.
