When I bought my last Silverado, a 95C2500, I told my friends I was buying a 1/4 million mile truck. Well, the truck now has 256,206 miles and I should have called ita 1/2 million mile truck. My repair list goes like this: Alternator, water pump, a new cluch at about 125K miles (5 speed manual), tail gate latch, a couple of muflers, two front brake jobs, right front brake hose, one rear brake job, about 4 batteries, a few tires and that's about it. I change the oil about every 5K miles, sometimes more, (Castro 5/30) and I use no oil between changes. I get 18 mpg. That's it, glad to be among friends...
