Just Lil' Ol' Me coming aboard
Hello, as you can see, my name is Janey.
I've been mechanicing since I was a little girl, started out helping my brother revive old cars to resell when I was 8 years old, and thats been a while ago. lol
Got some technical training in college to out-do him in emissions control systems and body repair when carburettors became outdated, and have always enjoyed bumping up the gas mileage on classics.
I've had my own garage and muffler shop for over 20 years now, but just can't stand on my head to do most of the electronical work any more, or look up over my head all afternoon under one on the rack, so shutting down for the most part.
Why I'm here...
I have a Problem Child right now... 2000 Chevy Venture Van,
so you'll see me around that area until I get this thing running right and either keep it or send it down the river. I never dreamed of a nightmare that wants you to remove the engine to change a stupid alternator, but I've got one now! lolol
It ain't gona be fun or easy... but a challenge is always interesting!
Anybody is welcome to PM me with questions that require too long an answer for a thread, or embarrassing questions you just can't remember a simple fix for. I always try to be friendly, and I don't charge for advise. Whether or not my old worn out brain remembers what the answer is immediately is the age old problem with age, but I try real hard!
Nice meeting you all!
Sincerely,
Janey
