Hey my name is Brian, I use the same user name for any forum I sign up to. So if your on any other forums and you see "briankmizell" you can be 99.999% sure it me.
About my vehicle, I have a 1989 Mazda B2200, I am swapping a vortec 4.3 into it. It will be pushing a turbo 350 transmission. Currently the truck has 225/60/16 tires and the stock gear ratio with 205/75/14's is 3.909:1.
These gears are great for taking off quickly but for a daily driver, it sucks the fuel down fast. I had a 87 B2000 Extended cab with a Chevy 350 it in, the RPM's in 3rd gear were really high at 65 MPH (if I remember it was somewhere near 5000 with a tire size of 205/60/15.
I ended up putting a 700R4 in it. and some huge 275/75/15's
I will need to do some research on tire sizes to get the RPM's where I need them when its in 3rd gear, and then calibrate the speed odometer accordingly.

Im looking to change the plugs and wires in my 08 5.3 vortec silverado, and i wanted to know about the little metal looking cap that is around the end of the wire. How do they come, I haven't tried to take them off yet, I wanted to ask first before i did anything wrong.
I just signed up for CF a little while ago. In the box "New Member Welcome Area" it suggest that I Stop In and introduce myself. I have been scanning the web site trying to figure out how to do this and haven't figured it out yet.
