I'm fairly new to Chevy trucks. I recently bought a used Silverado 2500hd in pretty good shape. So far so good. It has a few issues that I've been researching to correct. At least I hope to correct.

I'm ok with the change so far. Been a dodge fan for long time with no regrets. My new old truck is 2002 2500HD ext cab, long bed, 4x4, 8.1 with Alison. 122100 miles when I bought it a month ago. Hope to drive it for years to come if I can afford the gas lol. Thnx for the welcome.

There is some educating needed on my part. I'll post some questions in the appropriate area.

 

I just bought the same truck minus the 4x4 with 166k miles. Runs awesome. Pics on my other thread, my only post haha.

Since then I've noticed a lot of these on the road.

Today someone at uhaul yelled over to me and asked how many miles? He bragged about his 6.1 and regular tranny getting 374000 miles and running awesome. Drove off with a trailer.

That made me feel good, seems like these trucks can last a long time if properly cared for. Good luck with the truck man. Welcome

truck has been a beast so far. Only draw back so far is turning. I really like the tight turning radius of my Ram. I'll post a couple pic if there's an appropriate place for it.
