Default New here, from far away

Hello everyone, I'm from the beautiful Netherlands (that tiny country where weed is legal)
I own a 1990 Suburban 1500 with 4×4, imported in 2006 (not by me) from Florida.

I've got it for 2 years now and I'm loving the car, it's great in our small streets and parking lots.

Last year I've been modifying the interior and it's far from finished yet but for an amature I'm quite happy with the results.

Here's a couple of pics to illustrate what I've done to it so far.

This is how I got it

When it comes to more technical things I still need alot of help and I hope I can find that help here, where this car originally came from

Greetings from Holland

That is a great looking car you have.

Now seriously, is it great on your small streets and parking lots? I've been all over Europe (given, not Holland) and it seems like an oversized American SUV would not fare too well over through the small streets.

mSub....like what you've done to that Suburban. You are most welcome here in the forum. But that baby has got to be painful to fill with petrol! How much per liter is in Holland now?

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Yeah, it's kinda big in our small streets and tiny parking lots.
Parking spaces are as wide as my Suburban and in length my car sticks out about 3 feet. So I always double park, otherwise there's no way I can get it out of my spot when someone parks next to me (most people don't seem to understand it's got quite a big turning circle compared to a French or German car).
But it's still alot of fun to drive around here in our small country, most people give way when I come sailing around a corner or driving towards a junction.
With my Flowmaster 40 exhausts it gives a nice sound aswell which helps alot when trying to make others move aside.

@Gwampa
You don't find alot of American cars here which aren't fitted with a gas system, due to the prices.
Petrol is around €1.30 now, which is around $1.75. And that is for 1 litre.
Gas is around €0.55 a litre so thats worth giving up a few hp.

$1.75 for a gallon of gas? Thats unheard of here in California...its pretty much settled at $1.99 to $2.07 for unleaded. I had no idea that you ran cars on gas over there...

Max, don't you remember Rushphoto saying that he converted his 'hoe to run on natural gas in lieu of petrol cause it was like $8.00 a gallon there in jolly 'ol England? At that rate, my Imp would be like $80.00 to fill. Nice living in America ain't it?
