Hello! My name is Jeremy. I own a 2005 Chevy Suburban and have had the pleasure of maintaining this vehicle since 2008. It has been all over the country the last 7 years safely transporting my family and I from Base to Base. I am happy to be a part of this Forum and will provide any assistance that I can. I also bought a 1989 Truck and Bus 2500 Suburban at an auction in Washington State for 1300.00 in 2001 and dropped a 350 vortec, 242 transfer case, 400 turbo tranny and 4.10 and 4.11 gears in 3 days. Its amazing what Soldiers can get done. I will find a pic of it and post it. That truck pulled more jeeps, mud trucks with all the trimmings out of the mud than I can remember. It also tore down old barns and NBC buildings. I miss that truck. By the time I left Ft. Lewis that truck had over 300,000 miles and still ran like a bat out of hell. Maintenance is key. I however have created a family and have toned down to my 05 5.3 LT Auto Ride. I own it so I am slowly building it. I started out changing the suspension to Arnott and Bilstien suspension, sure stop drilled and slotted rotors, 20" Greg Weld wheels that give it 3 extra inches of width per wheel. It handles really well and stops on a dime. I have been thinking of a cam and port and polishing some heads for it. I have also gutted the entire interior and cleaned under the carpet and have made quit a few small electrical repairs. I always check power before mechanical. Wires are great but elements and flexibility are wire worst enemies.
