New Participant/Silverado-Ken
Hi folks,
Ken here from Pa. I'm new to this forum.
Thought I'd send out a question to other Silverado owners. I own a 2006 crew cab. Bought it for myself for a retirement gift. Very low miles (40K) and good looking. I have had to replace brake lining because of inferior material Chevy used (rusted & pitted out). I actually got reimbursed from the dealer & Chevy after some research finding out Chevy knows about the problem but chose not to advertise.
Anyway, just today I ran into a similar situation. Last month I had a brake fluid tube pop a leak & had it replaced. Today, another, & my mechanic has recommended replacing all the remaining ones.
Sounds like the same issue, inferior metal Chevy used. Anyone else experience or hear of a rash of situations where the brake fluid tubes require replacement?
