I'm new to this , but here goes. I have a 2003 ZR2, and just decided its time to buy a new truck- I'd love a ZR2 but at the $51,000 dealer quote its too pricey for me, I would be happy with a colorado Z71 at around $40,000. My friend just bought a jeep that he pre-ordered he says he got it for $7,000 less than his quote, just because he was willing to wait a few weeks untill it came from the factory.My question is, does anyone know of any dealers in North Carolina that do that sort of thing- let you order your truck through them basically, pay them and pick it up from them, and offer a significant discount off the MSRP. I would sure love to get me a ZR2! Thanks everyone!

Welcome from Florida. I think most dealers will let you order a new truck, but maybe not at a discount since trucks are hot sellers.
