Question about which option to choose
Hello Everyone, i just created my account and looking for some insight or guidance.
details: i drive about 1500-2000 miles a month. I have 6 large dogs. My goal is to be able to put their 6 dog crates and maybe couple extra just in case and drive with them for the search and rescue jobs, training, competitions, etc. I am not going to tow anything at all. If at all i do, it would be my subaru attached to the bus, but i don’t see that as a point if i am driving a short bus around.
so based on my fb marketplace search, i found 3 options:
1) 2006 chevy mini school bus - 9900 lbs with 4.8l engine with 148K miles.
2) 2007 chevy mini bus - 13000 lbs with 6.0l gas engine at 110K miles and 156K miles.
3) 2010 chevy mini bus - 14000 lbs with 6.6l duramax diesel at 127k miles. This one has rear gear ratio of 3:73. I am unsure of the gear ratio on the other two.
i used to drive a 2007 international dt466e 7.6l bus but i used to get only 7-9 mpg. 80% of my driving would be hwy and 20% local. So definitely looking for something that is better on fuel economy.
any suggestions on which option to go for?
