Default Really confused

While changing the rear shocks on my truck, I noticed that the rear passenger side shock has the air supply hose running into the shock itself. The drivers side was a breeze. Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

They're the arnott shocks with the bypass module. The shock that I was trying to replace on the rear passenger side has the air supply elbow, but when I pulled the elbow back the line went into the shock itself.
