Default Rear bumper icicles

I have icicles hanging from the bottom of the rear bumper when I drive my 2021 v6 Camaro and the temperature is below freezing. What could be the cause of this?

Welcome to the forum.

If it's setting in the Sun and has snow on it then it is probably caused by melting snow.

Snow never sits on this car. Even if it did, logically there would be icicles on other parts of the car not just the rear bumper.

Well, driving in snow/water/ice that will build up on your bumper. Couple that with wind chill (relative wind) will cause ice to form.

It happens on my 85 200sx when I hit 88mph and trigger the flux capacitor

Then you must have some kind of water leak that doesn't have antifreeze in it.
If the car is setting on an incline, the snow melt will run to the downhill end and drip off of the bumper and depending on the temperature, will form icicles. 😊

All it took was a person with knowledge of quantum physics and weather to solve the problem with my Camaro forming icicles at the same spot when the temperature drops way below freezing! Shear genius! Now that my mind has been cleared, I'm going to collect the 10 or 15 icicles with black soot in them for my gin and tonics!! Exhaust system "weep holes"? Nope! Not a chance!

So tell us what the solution was from your quantum physics expert.

There are 2 "weep" holes in the exhaust pipes where they meet the "suitcase" muffler. They let moisture (and soot") out to help prevent rust. The water then blows back and freezes on the bottom of the bumper. I always thought that exhaust wasn't supposed to get out of the pipes till it exits the end of the pipes. The weep holes are under the trunk. So what stops the exhaust fumes from getting into the trunk??
