I also own a 22re truck, but its broke. lol 180 degrees out of time and the crankshaft bolt is lodge so tight that nothing I have will get it out.

 

oh that sucks, i kept having problems with my timing chain tensioner going bad, i've broken two sets of steel guide rails, before i figured it out. you can try the force of the starter to try to bust lose the crank bolt, just get a piece of pipe that fits over your ratchet, wedge it up to the frame, and tap the starter. it required two people but it works great.

 

Tried that.
I even took the starter off and jammed the flywheel with a cro-bar and then put all my strength behind the ratchet with a 4ft pipe. Still didn't budge.

Hey Montana! Nice having you here. Did you know that the very old school drag racer Eddie Hill was a mechanical engineer? Yup from my hometown. ME Degree from Texas A&M University. I'm sure there's lots more engineer-racers around (probably in the forum even) as well. So your in good company. Post pics.

Red there's an old saying among A&M grads so ask your prof. "What do call an aggie 5 years after graduation?...................Boss" Is that true? Maybe, maybe not. But good as a special handshake any day.
