2018 Chevrolet 2500 duramax z71.



My front passenger wheel and assembly came completely off traveling 55mph, no warnings, shaking, or any sign it was about to happen. Dealership said it was out of warranty bc it was 3yr or 36000 miles and I have 80k miles... This seems like a factory defect, and could have been a life threatening deal had a car been coming in the other lane. I didn’t know what had happened, luckily i just let off everything and tried to hold it steady until we came to a stop, thankful i didn’t stomp breaks, probably would have jerked it out from under and pulled me off road. You would think GM would cover this, as the Service manager said he had never seen anything like it and there are no signs of any reason it would happen. Very scary to say the least... Has this happened to Anyone else? Wheels aren’t supposed to fall off of 2018 model trucks that are this Expensive...
