I don't want to be argumentative, but lane splitting is legal in California. I certainly wouldn't do it, but I find it hard to believe the bike was at fault for doing something legal. But just who would you blame, the car without a driver? And besides, we're not talking sport bikes here.

It likely got a camera on board to prove who did what. Yeah, its legal to split lanes in CA, but you have to do it carefully.

This autonomous car thing is not what the designers envision. That company had six wrecks in September alone. I don't think the technology is there yet.

I agree. I am a professional driver. You cant put human instincts, memory and experiences into a computer...at least not yet.
