With the Frankfurt Messe set to open its doors just days from now, most of the news we have coming in - particularly about imminent vehicle debuts - revolves around the Frankfurt Motor Show. But that's not where Chevy is preparing to unveil its latest.

While we'll be returning from Germany this Thursday, Chevrolet will be presenting the new Tahoe and its big brother the Suburban in New York City. Nothing else was disclosed apart from the announcement itself and the nameplate image above released on Facebook, but New York strikes us as a decidedly urban environment to present a vehicle that takes its name from the burbs and a lake at the other end of the continental United States.
