Default 350 fuel injected vs. carbourated

I have recently purchased a 78 Nova with the original 305. I have been told it is a simple swap to upgrade to a 350 as the mounts match perfectly. My problem now is what engine to go with. Reliability is really important as I want her to be a daily driver. My real problem is price ! I want to invest only about $3500 into the engine (b4 istallation). What should I go with? I hear a fuel injected engine will increase hp and reliability. If I stay carbourated what engine do you all suggest? I would love some input. Also, what size rims would be best for performance?

Tx

the LT1 only puts out 275hp, I was kind of lookinging for 300+ hp out of the crate. Is that even possible for under $3500?

I would never use a 300+ ol' school car as a daily driver...but since thats what you want, It really all depends on what weather and track you drive everyday. here in michigan we have really hot summers and below 0 winters...so I would go fuel injected.
