Hi all, this is my first post as a new member... The lady and I are thinking about purchasing a '72 Nova SS we've seen for sale but as we're both from a Japanese Import background really don't have too much of an idea what we're looking at... We just wanted something different with a nice healthy sized V8!

What are the known problems and main things to look for, other than the usual rust / repair items when you're looking second hand? What are the small details you can't get from pics and books?


PS - I'm guessing this forum is US based so before everyone flames me for not knowing about domestic cars, I'm in the UK. We've been driving and playing with Jap metal for 10 years but always with an eye on those beastly yanks... Thought we'd dip our toes in the water.
