Talking Battery Goes Dead If I don't Use shut off

My battery goes dead if I don't turn it off at battery. Would the clock running all the time run battery down. How long should battery last if one leaves it on ?. I'm baffled and not electrical savvy. thanks John

most parked cars should last approx. 30 days before normal electrical draw from the modules will discharge the battery.

You should rule out your battery first. Have it load tested. If it passes, and the charging system is ok, you will need to check for parasitic electrical draw. Any current draw in excess of 50mA (after all the modules go to sleep) is considered excessive.

If this is a old nova there will be no modules and the normal current draw should be well below 50mAps

the way to troubleshoot this is to pull fuses until the draw disappears
