I am looking for a 1981 Truck like the one we had when my husband and I got married. They are HARD to find. It would be perfect if I could find the actual truck, but I don't have the VIN and the motor went out in the late 90's so I don't even know if it's around.

PLEASE help me locate a truck like this. Also, any ideas on getting the VIN would be great.(If possible)

I do have a picture. That truck was his baby.

Hi Leann,

1981-1986 are a pain to maintain. The valve covers leak, the carb is electronic, this is before GM got their electronics figured out...but if you really want one then you’re going to spend a lot of money getting it just right. In 1987 they changed the motor so the valve covers finally stopped leaking and they went to throttle body injection. Much easier to maintain and you can still get parts for them. Hope this helps!
