1988 Chevy C1500 Not Firing on 2 cylinders
Hello, I have a 88' Chevy C1500 that was not running, had a mechanic friend check it out and decided it was the ICM, upon tearing off the distributor cap I discovered that the cap was horribly corroded and the rotor was black from arcing. I replaced the cap, rotor and icm started the truck and it ran perfect so I took it for a drive got back and left it till the next day, it was a colder day so I decided to see how the truck would do in the cold, I started up and it was running rough. I popped the hood and started feeling the exhaust manifold and cylinders 2 and 8 were ice cold. I then checked the firing order to make sure all wires were correct, they were so I tore out the plugs and they look brand new but I replaced them anyways to make sure. The two cylinders still weren't firing so I replaced the wires, still no go. I asked a guy and he said distributor but in my experiences if its the distributor the truck will backfire or just not run period so do you guys think its the distributor or something else? Any comments are welcome, Thank you
