1997 K1500 4x4 Centurion?
This is some sort of GM prototype they paired with centurion and made these pickups. Supposedly there were only 7 of these made with the 4x4 crew cab in a half ton. Centurion did the conversion under GM's guidelines using only oem parts. That's why I was considering on taking this on is for the rare factor. Trying to see if anyone has heard of this
didnt know. i knew gm has partnered up before with some 73-87 chevys like the choo choo customs. they mainly did ext cab which gm didnt make and turn some bonus cabs (crew cabs without rear seats) into sleepers. wonder why they would make a crew cab when chevy was making them already?
GM never made a crew cab in a half ton in those years so I guess for can room and economy? From what I seen they pulled a new pickup off the showroom every so often from 95 or 96 to 98. This one was a standard cab stepside 4x4 gm sent it to centurion where they cut the frame added 37" and dropped a 3/4 or 1 ton can and box on it. But that's is literally the only info I have lol. Guess there is supposed to be only 7 made if this pickup. The exact year and 4x4. They made several in the 2wd in 97 but very few 4x4. I'm just trying to figure out if any of this adds value and to what extent I like the pickup but only because it's rare and unique if it wasn't for that I'd look into a 3/4 ton that needs less work

they look like they are rare only around 6 4x4s made and starting prices 10,000 they wete streatched in texas and the 4 door eas added and the company wasnt chev its name was centurion, they also changed the engine but you can look up the company out of Texas but the company doesn't exist any more...good luck!
