Default 85 K10 ignition cylinder replacement

Trying to replace the ignition on my 85 K10-- removed steering wheel but getting stuck when I hit this piece! No idea how to get it off. Thoughts?

You'll need an adaptable puller. You can likely rent one from an auto parts store. But you have more pulling to do.

This vid wot be exactly whet you have but its close enough to see what else you'll need to do,

Thanks so much! Got everything off and replaced the ignition (truck started right up) so success.

New problem: putting the steering wheel parts all back on. I can't get the locking plate back on because I think the splines aren't lining up with the splines on the shaft. (Should've marked it with a sharpie to start, but here I am now.) Any ideas for this problem?

There MAY be a gap in the splines. Look for that or other wear marks. Let me know if you find any of this.
