My father in law is working on his 99 GMC 3500 dually. He replaced the engine in it. He's starting to button up the truck and came across a sturdy round bar about 12 inches long with a large bolt hole on each end. The ends are kind of flat and one is twisted so they don't match up on either end. I forgot to take a photo of it. Anyone have any idea what it may be? Thanks in advance.

 

a photo would help immensely , but it sounds like either radiator support brace, or front fascia brace.
