So I thought id put up a thread of my new addition and to keep a log of all the work ill be doing to it over the next few years.

I've just finished a first draft of an article for Truck Jungle (for Mark Oaster) on these Aussie build Chevy trucks.

This is Dandenong assembly, PSN (J487620) places it as 7/75 assembly which the ADR plate confirms.

Paint (1821) is Glacier White, also confirmed by the Dulux paint code of 13134. 439 paint line is Dulux Acrylic Enamel, which is an enamel that could be touched up with Acrylic.
63V is Saddle coloured embossed vinyl.

The model code of C20903 is the 3720kg GVW (C20) cab chassis. The number after the model code on the identification plate (599078) is something I am not 100% certain on. Could you possibly check and see if this is the number used as the chassis number, or if the AJ487620 is used. Note that these are the ONLY GMH assembled thing that I know of where the PSN is used as the "chassis number" on the ADR plate, A is the ADR revision and J487620 is the PSN (end of the VIN).

The VIN (8CT235) decodes as follows:
8 is the division ie 8=GMH.
C is the chassis type, C=conventional.
T is the engine description, T=292 6cyl.
2 is the series, 2=20 (ie C20).
3 is the body type, 3=cab chassis.
5 is the model year, pretty certain same as Holdens ie 1975 model year is 9/74 to 8/75.

It would have originally had a Mexican 292ci 6cyl and 4spd box There wasn't too many options available when yours was built. The only options were a HD stabiliser shaft (sway bar), LSD, fuel tank guard and a spare tyre and tube.

Lastly, can I use some of the ID tag photos in the article? I can cover up a digit or two here and there if you like.
