Default Celebrity engine stalling while slowing to a stop.

This is a '90 Celebrity Eurosport with 3.1 and 4 speed. After start the engines idles at high rpm but, as soon as it's in gear, hesitates then catches - same from a slowdown. Runs well at normal speed but, slowing for a stop, the transmission doesn't seen to be shifting all the way down and the engine won't idle and quits - starts immediately though. Just replaced the Idle Air, TPS sensors and the vacuum modulator on the torque converter.

Is that the TCC solenoid?

The tcc solenoid usually causes a stall when car is warmed and in gear.

You could try unplugging it to see if that fixes it. Your gas mileage will drop some.
Does shifting to neutral before it stalls help?

Unplugging the TCC solenoid cured the stalling slowing to a stop but another glitch now. First start the engine revs way too high, shift into gear and it wants to stall. This condition improves some as it all warms up. I did do the computer relearn manual procedure after replacing the sensors.

Vacuum leak perhaps?

Look for dry rotted hoses that carry air.

I replaced a section of hose on 3.1L 1992 Lumina near the battery area that was dry rotted.

Sounds like groundhog day with your old wagon.
