Default Only the parkinglight works on my Chevy

Hi!

My mobilehome a -79 Chevy G30 has been parked for 2 years and not been started at the time.
Now when I should start the car everything is dead. The only life that is are the parking light.
Do anyone know where I shall start searching.

Thankful for any tips that can help.
Regatfs!

Welcome to the forum...
I would guess that the battery is good and is able to start the vehicle correct?
If not replace the battery...
If all is good from the battery stand point, I would start checking fuses and relays... Check for voltage to the switch..
also trace some of the wiring as its possible rodents have chewed on and eaten away at wiring...

Thanks
I checked the fuses and everthing lookes alright.
But I med an extra check on the fusible links at the solenoid and one of the wires is very soft vompared to the othet. So I will runa away and buy a new pair of those fusible links.
Is therr something special to thonk about regarding this?
Best regards
Pieter

when replacing fuse links you should "thonk" about:

the fuse link wire length should be the same of the original link
the wire guage must be the same

Thanjs.
But how do I measure the length. Is it from the plastic thing that looks as connectors and to tje connector on the solenoid?
