Question Possible tranny issue?

Hey all,

My grand father owns a 2004 Cadillac Deville with a northstar V8, When your accelerating you'll hit about 40KM/P then it will jerk and after that it's fine. It doesn't jerk when slowing down. I put my snap-on scanner on it and there is no current or history codes in the PCM for either engine nor tranny. the check engine light doesn't come on when the car jerks. He thinks its a miss fire. although i don't believe it to be a miss fire, i believe it to be a tranny problem or possible something else such as drive train or something along those lines. The car has recently had a complete tune up, as well and a intake induction service from the dealer, also a fuel system cleaning with new filter as well. I'm thinking while fixing this issue a tranny service wouldn't hurt anything either, keep in mind this car only has 82,XXXKM on it as its only summer driven. If any one could shed some light on this it would be great. I hope i am posting this in the right spot.

Thanks
