Default sbc 350 problem

I am having an odd problem with an older 4bolt main 350 that I plan on putting in a boat. Somehow I'm getting too much oil pressure at the filter thus blowing out the filter o-ring and spraying oil everywhere at idle. I have changed the pressure relief valve already, but still have the issue. It's starting to boggle my mind and I can't figure out why it is doing this. Any thoughts or experiences? Would really appreciate the help.

thanks for the welcome
Well, I can blow through a hose all the way through the block. lol
Don't think the seat area is crack it actually pulls the o-ring out of the filter and pushes it out when it blows it.

Default filter

if you have replaced the oil filter adaptor with the reliegh valve in it ,double check that itis free and operatiog then the only thing i can think of is the oil pump valve spring piston is stuck ,or the spring has to much tension .
