We have an 01 Blazer LT, 4X4 w/4.3 V-6... Our Blazer will only start when it is sitting on level ground (no really) and hocked with jumper cables to a different vehicle.... Once started the cables can be taken off and the Blazer will idle (until it iz out of gas) as it should.... However when i get in and pull it into gear, again it does fine until i start down or up a hill and it dies, every time!!!!! Even with the tranny in neutral and the tach on 3500 + r.p.m it STILL DIES EVERY TIME we start up or down a hill!!!!!! Have checked the fuel pressure and it is at 50 + p.s.i just after the key is put to the on position.... Somebody gimme some clues before i have to post a 01 Blazer on CL that is FULL of 45 cal holes and all of the glass is busted out, lol!!!!!!![/FONT]

 

ow much gas is in the tank when it it dies going up or down a hill? If there is a problem in the tank then going up or down a hill can cause the gas to move away from the pickup with a low tank. Have you had the battery and the cables checked?
