hey guys, the rear end on my s10 blew up. the spider gears and chipped teeth on the gear that spin the axles. in no means am i a mechanic, i'm more of a do it yourselfer and learn as you go kinda guy. but from what i found out bout the zr2 its a special sport package, with a sway bar that connects to the top of the axle. the diff is a G80 with a GT4. so the GT4 means a 3.73 ratio and the axleshafts are 2inches longer than normal s10. i went to 2 junkyards (the one being the world's largest) and found no ZR2's. i was told that it fits a fullsize rear end? so i doubt i can take the rear end off a junk truck/blazer/s10 and replace it with mine. i was also wondering if i go to the junkyard can i take the gears out of the differential that has a G80 and GT4 if they would fit mine? or would it jus be easier/cheaper to buy the gears i need. the pinion and ring gear are fine btw
