Default 1984-1989 s10 blazer drivetrain

So guys. I have a 1984 s10 blazer 2.8 v6 4x4. Everything works great but the body is beyond shot. So I have an 1989 s10 blazer 4x4 roller. The only change that would majorly impact anything drivetrain-wise is they changed the transfer case in 89 to "drive smoother". So my 89 roller has no drivetrain at all. My question is does anyone know if my 84 transfer case will have any fitting issues? I wouldnt think it would because there isnt anything else in there drivetrain-wise that is an 89. It will all be 84, even interior parts I'm putting in there because I like the retro style

The biggest changes between the 84 and 89 were all related to carburated versus throttle body injection in the 89, meaning the wiring harnesses will be different for the engine. Other than that, most everything should line up in the driveline. If you run into fitment issues, you may be able to swap the brackets and such from the old to the new. 89's came with the option of the 2.8 or the 4.3, which have different motor mounts, transmissions, etc...do you know what transmission and engine the 89 had? Manual versus automatic will have some different brackets also.
