I have a 82 s10 wrecked with a good 85 motor that i put in a 88 s15. both were automatic. 82 was 2 wheel drive, 88 4 wheel drive. I had to change intake, oil pan, timing chain cover to the 88 model because it was tbi and other was carb. it runs and works except for bad vibration. I was told to swap to 88 flywheel because it didnt have weight balance on it. Still has vibration and it didnt have it in other truck. it shakes even at idle now. Im going to diconnect torque converter to see if it changes anything. when i bought the 88 it ran just had a rod knocking. I didnt notice any vibration but it could have cause i didnt drive it. I just started it and loaded it on trailer. has anyone had any issues close to this? And thanks for this forum.
