Default 3 core radiator for 88 s-10, 2.8?

Greetings all,

I'm helping a friend who isn't super internet savvy when it comes to ordering parts online, so I'm helping him out.

He has an 88 Chevy S-10 (Tahoe), regular cab, 2.8L and wants to put a 3 core radiator in it since we live in a hot climate. The only ones I found that would fit are for v8 conversions, which won't work for his truck. I contacted a couple radiator dealers and they couldn't find anything, and so far, I've only found 1 core.

Does anyone know if there is a 3 core radiator that will fit this vehicle? are we limited to 1 or 2 cores? Any help or information you have to share would be extremely useful and appreciated, whether it's part numbers, websites or a business to call. Here's the vin if that helps: 1GCCS14RXJ8194691

Thank you for your help

thank you, but everything I found on ebay is for v8 conversions. I even emailed a shop on there and they didn't have anything. I'm starting to wonder if there's even an option for anything other than a 1 core for this old of a radiator. Thanks again.

I looked through the listings and some of them state that they will fit the 2.8 V6

I would think if the cooling system is properly maintained, unless the vehicle is being used for extra heavy work, the stock radiator would be fine.
