OK. My 88 S-10 2.5 tbi motor wont start, code says it's due to an ICA valve and mixture control solenoid. Those were replaced, still no luck. So I replaced the fuel pump. Herein lies the problem, when the fuel pump is in the gas tank, it wont run. When outside the tank runs perfect, found out it was because of the float on the sending unit, the further the float is moved up, the slower the pump goes until it finally just shuts off, so that means the sending unit is bad right? Well the other problem is when everything is hooked up and the ignition key is turned, NOTHING, the fuel pump wont kick on no matter what, what is causing this? The relay was replaced along with the computer. So why wont the key kick the fuel pump on? What is left to replace?

did u check to see if inertia switch is tripped

No I haven't. Where would that be located?

It doesn't have an inertia switch. I'm out of ideas to try.
