I have a 1988 Chevy S10 2.5L. The coil is putting out no spark. We checked connections all were ok and had the ignition module tested and that was ok so we swapped the coil. Still no spark - I occassionally get SOME spark but its sporadic and a weak spark. Any ideas before I start to replace everything?

 

plug wires, cap, rotor, and maybe the plugs. try that cuz even if it don't work its the easiest preventative maintenance you could possibly do and it probably needs it

 

As I said the ignition coil has poor/no spark output the cap, wires, rotor etc arnt going to affect that since they arnt being delivered any spark from the coil.
