94 s10 4wd problem

Default 94 s10 4wd problem

i have a 94 chevy s10 4.3L vortec, i dont have 4wd, it is push button 4wd, when i push either 4 low or 4 high it engages ( click from transfer case) but no front wheel spin, only 2wd, when i in 4 low i have 2 low, nothing to the front wheels, no grinding or nothing, i used it yesterday in the back yard and it was fine, went to use it today and nothing but the light lit up and the click into 4wd, anyone know my problem, need help asap thanks <!-- / message --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig --><!-- END TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig -->

I would check the vac. lines that run to the actuator under the battery box and see if there broke an not pulling the cable to pull the front rear in.

i just went out and checked if there was movement in the cable at the frontend and felt nothing, its dark so in the morning ill take the battery out and check the lines. i keep everyone posted, meanwhile post any other problems it might be thanks.

also, when put in 4wd is there a constant vaccume untill put back in 2wd thanks

if that cables not moving then the vaccume line has to be broke.... make sure trace the whole hose cause i think they go past the passenger side exhaust manifold an it might have melted there but i cant remember for sure cause i got rid of all that when i put a straight axle in..
