I have a 97 S-10 Blazer that is not shifting from second. I have pulled codes and it comes up with P101. Cleaned the MAF, still won't shift, but code didn't come back for the short test drive. I talked to a few GM Mechanics and they suggested that since it had ran out of fuel more than a few times ( Faulty fuel gauge in the tank) that replacing the fuel pump and filter might take care of it as the fuel pump probably wasn't pumping correctly. Did this, still won't shift out of second and the MAF code came back. The tranny doesn't seem to be slipping, it just won't shift. Any ideas on what it could be? I'm at whits end and I'm about to put it in the shop, but I would rather fix it myself and save a ton of money that the shop would charge for labor, so any help would be greatly appriciated
