97 s 10 pu engine noise / transmission connection noise?
I have a 1997 s 10 pu that is making engine noise. ( about 180 k in miles) Piston ??? But I ran it like this for many miles at highway speed. My bad. Ran fine..... Engine still starts but I am not driving any longer. Not sure if this is engine problem or maybe a transmission connection to engine problem. Noise bad when idle but if I put into gear (any) the noise will soften or change. Any ideas. It is louder than lifter noise. Thank you. I do not want to swap engines unless I must. Good ole farm truck.
